Introduction

Skin being the most sensitive, largest and visible organ of our body, a single imperfection may not only drain the Confidence and Self-esteem of the person in today’s World, but if not taken timely care, may lead to severe emotional consequences.
The spots on the skin or body, darker or lighter, may vary from white, pink, red, brown or tan depending on the skin color. The common conditions which cause patches or spots on your body are Eczema, Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Acne, Moles, Lentigines or Hyper Pigmentation, Melasma.
Eczema

Eczema is a condition where patches of skin become inflamed, itchy, red, and rough. At times, blisters may likely to occur. However, the specific cause of eczema remains to be unfold, but yes it is believed to develop due to a combination of hereditary (genetic), nutrient deficiencies, bacterial infection, and dry, irritated skin and environmental factors like smoke and pollen.
Vitiligo

Vitiligo is mainly caused due to loss of pigment in the skin, due to destruction of pigment-forming cells known as melanocytes in the form of flat, white patches with irregular borders. Although Vitiligo is seen in all races equally, but is more visible indark-skinned people. Although, Vitiligo is not painful or harmful, but yes it often leads to emotional and psychological disturbances. Mostly, the main cause of Vitiligo is analyzes to be inheritance.

PSORIASIS

Psoriasis, a durablediseasecharacterised by red, restless and scaly patches of abnormal skin variable in severity, is usuallyrelated to type 2 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular disease, and psoriatic arthritis.Psoriasis normally occurs on the knees, elbows, and scalp, and at times even on torso, palms, and soles of the feet.
ACNE

Acne is a skin condition which appears as red pimples on the face, chest, and back which affects most teenagers especially females. It is not caused by bacteria, although bacteria play a role in its development. It develops in mid- to late-20s. It can be rectified with Medications, Chemical Peels, or Lasers by the Dermatologists after some medical interpretations.
MOLES

Also, apart from this there are dark brown spots like Moles which occur at Teenage or early childhood. Moles occur once cells within the skin grow in a very cluster rather than being unfold throughout the skin. They are generally round, flat and elevated. Sometimes, hairs may possible develop in the mole.
LENTIGINES

Age spots, liver spots known as lentigines or hyper pigmentation are small dark areas on your skin. They normally vary in size and usually appear on the face, hands, shoulders and arms, areas most exposed to the sun. Age spots are very common in adults older than 50.
MELASMA  

Melasma is brown, tan, or blue-gray spots on the face, normally visible in women in the reproductive years. It is a common chronic skin problemwhich is usually more visible on cheeks, upper lip, chin, forehead etc. Sun exposure, hormone treatments, formation of Melanocytes during pregnancy in women are some of the major causes of Melasma.
